Can finger length reveal personality?

The ring finger : index finger ratio, seems a potentially important measure for understanding and explaining different personality traits. It was the aim of Cornelia Sindermann and her research to replicate the earlier findings about the relation between individual differences in ring and index finger ratios and the Five Factor Model in different cultural groups. This so-called 2D:4D comparison has also riled plenty of critics arguing that the research isn’t robust and based on faulty measures, let alone its close reading to phrenology and its dark implication.
